Digital Logistics 2021-2024-2030 was discussed during “Transport of Russia”

On the first day of the Forum a plenary discussion was held which was called “Digital Logistics 2021-2024-2030: from Transformation of Companies to Leadership of the whole Transportation Sector” organized by the “Digital Transport and Logistics” Association. The session was attended by representatives of federal executive authorities and large-scale businesses. They summarized the preliminary results of the year 2021 and discussed a number of topics related to digital transformation of logistics, technological modifications of passenger and cargo transportation and support from the state.

The discussion was moderated by Polina Davydova, Executive Director of the “Digital Transport and Logistics” Association. Kirill Bogdanov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of the “Digital Transport and Logistics” Association was the first to enter into the discussion. He listed the main sources of digital transformation of the transport sector and shared the results achieved by the new team of the Russian Ministry of Transport during the last year. Andrey Chernenko, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, told about the Citizen Digital Identity project which made possible the implementation of many initiatives of the Russian Ministry of Transport.

During the plenary discussion, Yevgeny Charkin, Deputy Director General of Russian Railways OJSC, member of the Supervisory Board of the “Digital Transport and Logistics” Association, highlighted that “the topic of digital logistics is of a great interest as it relates development and transformation of separate companies with the successfulness and technological leadership of the whole transportation sector and economics as a whole”. After that, Leonid Osipov, the Chief Managing Director for Technological Development and Innovations in “VEB.RF” State Development Corporation shared stories on how the first technological ‘lighthouse projects’ in the transportation sector were starting up.

“Innovations, new technologies, digitalization – these are not just goals or tribute to fashion. This is the way to survive in a competitive logistics world”, said Georgy Alikoshvili, Deputy Director General for International Business of Russian Post JSC with regard to innovations in logistics. Sergey Krylov, Deputy Director General for Information Technologies at Aeroflot PJSC, member of the “Digital Transport and Logistics” Association, agreed on the above and said that “no further continuous and serious development is possible without digitalization”. The topic of the presentation delivered by Andrey Cheremnykh, Director General of “Urban Mobility” Company was “Digital Corridor of the Passenger”, and Viktoria Erkenova, Deputy Chairperson for Intellectual Transportation Systems and Digitalization of “Russian Highways” State Company told about the new projects of the company, including the M12 highway.

Yevgeny Ditrikh, Director General of the State Transport Leasing Company, was the last to perform at the discussion.
